My education in Art has provided the structured framework to create and produce various types of works. As a professional artist taking commissions and responding to gallery requests for entry, I have learned to use a variety of materials and explore different methods of constructing. My bachelor’s degree in Art Design from Northeastern University in Boston was the jumping off point for my career. Majoring in Art Design, I studied and excelled in Drawing, Color Theory, 3D Design, and Ceramics. Minoring in Art History utilized the resources offered in Boston’s historical mecca, and I have used my art history knowledge when designing wall murals and commissioned works. Over the course of many years, my artistic interests have included the process of building and painting theatrical sets. I was given the opportunity to work professionally backstage with Boston area theatrical companies to construct props, paint wall murals, and design layouts. These experiences have ultimately led to my interior wall work with painting and murals and with creating/painting signage for businesses. I find the process of painting interior walls to be relaxing, and my meticulous attention to detail ensures a finished wall is satisfying to both my client and me. My wall murals and signage can range from replication to designing for specific wants. Additionally, my building of sets has enabled me to extend into cabinetry and countertops. Since it can be costly to replace both, I have been successful at reinvigorating the old. In addition to painting (as a vocation), I run a successful pet sitting and dog walking business in Atlanta. I hold a COVID-19 Certification for Professional Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers. Additionally, I am an avid runner, completing the 2024 Publix Atlanta Marathon in under four hours and coming in second place for my age group in the 2023 NCRC Classic Half Marathon in North Carolina. Most recently, I completed the Canebrake 200 utramarathon in March of 2024.
