IQ PAINTERS IS HIRING Journeyman Painter Skills Required: Must have two to five plus years of full-time brush, roll and spray painting work experience. The Journeyman Painter: Must perform the full scope of skilled painting duties including masking, surface preparation, priming, and painting. Although under the supervision of Painter Foreman, the Journeyman Painter must be able to work independently within established guidelines. Removes and/or covers objects and surfaces that will not be painted to protect from accidents, overspray, paint splatter, etc. Prepares surfaces for painting; applies primer and paint to manufacturer’s and owner’s specifications. Applies expansion joint caulking and fireproof caulking to manufacturer’s specifications. Prepares, primes, sands, seals, patches caulks and paints surfaces on residential and commercial buildings and infrastructure utilizing all types of painting materials including but not limited to enamel, latex, epoxy, waterproofing and more. Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, including brush, roll, sprayers, pressure washers, etc. Safely stores and labels all materials; cleans up work areas when job is finished. Operates aerial lifts, scissors lifts, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.
