Painter (6 months experience part time) Residential Painter I have moderate experience doing the following during my time as a general laborer: • Paint the interiors of residential dwellings - including walls and ceilings • Clean walls to ensure proper adherence • Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs • Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives • Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping • Practice self-supervision to ensure projects are completed in an efficient, timely manner • Apply touchups or second coats • Remove paint splatters when finished • Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns • Work on ladders to reach high ceilings or walls • Excellent communication and team-building skills
