Position/s: Apprentice and Journeyman Painters Salary: $30 - $40 hour depending on experience Closing Date for applications: Wednesday, June 15, 2016 Job Description: - Quality workmanship to paint energized, live high voltage electrical transmission towers - Ability to skilfully apply paint using rollers, brushes and mitts on high towers - Must be physically fit and able to climb to heights of 50’ or more using 100% tie off fall protection - Must be able to work in remote areas in challenging terrain with the utmost care and safety, under the direct supervision of a certified lineman - Proven ability to follow company health and safety rules and procedures and to comply with strict safety standards - Required to wear your Personal Protective Equipment (or we can provide) - Comfortable working outdoors and being transported to and off tower sites via ground vehicles and/or helicopters Skills and qualifications: - Preferred experience working on energized towers with minimum of 200 hours of painting - Must be Level 2 Apprentice or Journeyman Painter and provide supporting certification (additional training will be provided) - Preferred: current First Aid and CPR training certificate and Climbing and Rescue training certificate (certificates to be provided) - Attention-to-detail and self-motivated to perform quality work - Be a team player, hard worker and dependable Location of work: - Various locations throughout BC – for example: Kamloops, Lillooet/Lytton, Chilliwack, Surrey, Fraser Valley, Squamish, Prince Rupert Company items provided to workers: - Sleeping accommodations or LOA - Transportation to and from job site - All required Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE) - Company sponsored training for Climbing/Rescue, High Voltage Electrical Safety and First Aid/CPR certification Closing Date for applications: Wednesday, June 15, 2016 Start date for work: early summer 2016 Submit resumes to: [email protected]
