Painter in Franklin, Tennessee

I am in my late 20's, husband and father. I grew up on a farm in Wyoming and moved to the Nashville area about 5 years ago. I am an aspiring author, but have been painting for a few years to pay the bills. I have all my own equipment. I work for a professional painting company, but I do side jobs especially in the colder months when work dies down. I do free estimates, paint matching and I order the paint and pick it up to save you the hassle. On a scale of one to ten my skills are as such: Cutting in is an 8-8.5, Rolling is a 9.5, Spraying is a 7-8, Overall speed is a 7, Attention to detail is a 9. I take all the proper precautions without wasting time. I am willing to move furniture if I need to. I do both exterior and interior. I cover the floors and furniture with proper drops and plastic. I always try to be pleasant, kind and considerate of the homeowners wishes and concerns. I am willing to talk methods or processes through, or just show up, do the job and leave, whatever is preferred. My method of estimating is as such: I estimate how many hours of work I believe the job would take, I then multiply that by my hourly rate which is flexible depending, but is usually around $25-30, then I will add the cost of paint to that. If I finish the job under hours, then the remaining balance is profit, If i finish over hours then that falls on me and the homeowner is not expected to pay any more than the original quote.
