Karlee Nichols' Bio: Why Face Painting? My name is Karlee Nichols. I have a wonderful, loving husband and four lovely children. Originally from north-central Iowa (Britt), we have recently landed in Brevard, North Carolina as of September 2014. While my degree is in Spanish, God has taken us on many journeys to get us to where we are now, including a side-job in face painting! During the summer of 2013, we took our oldest two children to the glorious Iowa State Fair. For this mini-vacation, we decided to remove our usual financial boundaries and allow them to eat tons of unusual unhealthy food, ride the wild rides and get their faces painted (while trying not to hyperventilate at the expense!). Upon entrance, they immediately stood in line to get their beautiful faces air-brushed. $30 and 3 minutes later, they had two colors and a cute design that anyone could have painted. It looked nice, but it wasn't anything special (at least not for the price we paid). From that day on, this claimed non-artist (me) has set out to provide daily joy for my kids and their friends by painting their faces whenever their precious hearts desire. My goal is to make family fun accessible and affordable. Please consider allowing me to share this new-found hobby of mine for your next event. Let's face it...it's time to have a little fun today!
