Experienced Industrial Coating Superintendent (Charleston, SC) (THIS JOB DOES NOT PAY ANY PER DIEM) – locals, apply.) Immediate hire: Temp to Perm – (Charleston, local applicants, only) Compensation: Excellent Salary based on experience Requirements: • Good people skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction • Meeting deadlines and schedules • Bring your own tools • Willing to submit to initial drug screening • Back ground check, no felonies Job Duties: • Supervise and coordinate the daily duties and functions of paint by assisting General Foreman’s and Foreman’s on scope of work, ordering paint related material, equipment and parts, as well as working directly with Clients, Inspectors, Project Managers and Construction Managers to relay progress on jobs currently being done, up-coming work, man power. • Daily documentation to include: QC documents, Daily Time sheets, Work Completed, Photos, Non- conformances, safety violations, etc. • Maintain project files throughout project. • Perform Blast and Coating Inspections. • Scheduling, estimating, and monitoring daily activities of the production staff to ensure efficient work flow, adherence to standards, policies, and timely completion of jobs. • Managing, ordering and control of all equipment and material as needed for day to day operations of the paint department. • Schedules all training to include in house and outsourced, he is also responsible for employee evaluations, and job assignments of the paint department work force. • Attends daily production meetings with other Department Superintendents to discuss day-to-day events, as well as Quality Assurance throughout. • Tracking job costs, as well as inspecting all areas of work to ensure surface preparation and applications of coatings were in accordance with job/ project specifications. Tools: Hand and power tools (DA sanders , orbital sanders , needle guns , nail guns , sand blasters , dry wall finishing tools , caulking/dry tools , brushes/rollers Education/Language Skills: High School education Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, in English.
