Someone who works hard, is attentive, reliable, and discreet. * The goal is to deliver high-quality painting work. * * Responsibilities We are looking for someone with experience Reading blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc. Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. Filling in cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster) Mixing paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture Painting surfaces according to instructions with various tools Applying varnish and other finishes Taking and adhering to all health and safety precautions Requirements * * Proven experience as a painter Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques Experience painting houses preferred Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.) Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. Conscientious with great attention to detail Own or have access to reliable transportation Driver license in good standing (so you can drive to different locations in the Bay Area as needed) * * Please send us email with a resume or a short description of your past experience.
