Painter Job in Saco, Maine

Collegiate Entrepreneurs, Inc. is looking to hire a crew of 4 painters for the summer beginning as early as Mid-May and continuing through till later in August. Looking for qualified persons for interior/exterior painting, pressure-washing, and deck staining. Painters will primarily be working in/around the greater Saco area. Duties & Requirements: • Must have own vehicles • Must be 18 years old by April 15, 2014 • Be willing to drive outside primary work area (Saco) for jobs • Must be available all summer (May 12 -- August 28) • Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes. • Apply paint to surfaces including walls, floors, doors, and cabinets, siding, etc. • Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting. • Clean walls to ensure proper adherence. • Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection. • Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs. • Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives. • Erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; moves furniture and equipment as necessary. • Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting. • Select and buy paint from vendors. • Apply several coats according to paint directions. • Tape off areas when needed. • Apply touchups or second coats. • Remove paint splatters when finished. • Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns. • Utilize spray guns for large jobs. • Work on tall ladders to reach high ceilings or walls. *$10/Hour, (Potential for raises dependent upon production through the season)* If interested please reply to this post via email and I will be in contact with you ASAP.
