We are currently interviewing and hiring painters for full-time summer positions in Winnipeg! I am looking for 8-10 hard working individuals to join my team for the upcoming summer. Painters are provided with extensive training, as well as on-the-job mentoring. If you are hired, you'll be paid through a piece rate system with most staff making an average of $16-$18/hr on piece rate by the end of the summer. This rate varies depending on how efficiently the painter can complete an assigned job. To be considered, painters will: - Be required to work a MINIMUM or 40 hours per week, with rainy days days to be made up on the weekends and during evenings. - MUST have a vehicle, painters are required to transport their own minor supplies to different jobs across the city, unfortunately a Bus Pass or a family member giving you a ride is not sufficient. - MUST have the ability to work autonomously, with little to no supervision once fully trained. - Past evidence of work in the painting industry, (or other evidence of laborious work) is considered an asset. During the interview process, painters must show they very hard working, are looking to take on responsibility quickly within the role, and would make a great addition to our summer team. If hired, you will begin work in the first week of May (approximately May 4th, weather dependent) and work through and including the 8th of September (classes begin Sept. 10th for most University Faculties) This is a very rewarding position, with the ability to control your own wage using the piece rate system. If hired, you will have the opportunity to work outdoors, interact with customers, and the opportunity to make a ton of cash! What have people said about this job? ... "It's hard work, it really is. But i found it really fun! You get to meet new people, you get to work outside, If you enjoy long hours and controlling your own ability to make more money, it's great." "I loved the responsibility of knowing a project worth $2000 was my job to take care of and complete. I mean, it's dirty work. But if you want to challenge yourself, work hard and make decent cash, who wouldn't wanna paint?" Please reply with a resume and a short cover letter stating why you're the best man/woman for the job, confirming you are legally eligible to work in Canada, and confirming have a vehicle for transportation.
