Painter in Chemainus, British Columbia

Hi, I have been painting since early 1984 and have worked for many companies. I now work independently and have all my own equipment. I have painted ships, hotels, apartments, schools, in a prison, repaints/reno's on 100's of houses in and out and have 16 years experience on new construction. I obtained my BC Equivalent to Trade ticket (00004 PDQ 07) and trained people to paint for years. The right prep, the right materials and the right painter, you need all three to have a great paint job. On new construction you are setting the standard for all paint jobs that come after. For a reno or repaint you are making the new standard for paint jobs to come. On an interior you are fixing damage, caulking gaps, filling holes, repairing worn and aged surfaces, sanding, priming and then a quality coating can be applied. On an exterior that means sanding and oil primer on wood, holes caulked and sealed, mould, mildew, chipped paint and dirt washed off properly and the surface allowed to dry. I usually work by the hour and give materials at cost so the customer has access to higher quality paint that will last longer. I can do complete jobs on my own, assist you in doing what you can't or just help out to get it finished. I am new to the Chemainus area and can work south Duncan to south Nanaimo. I would also be interested in doing new construction for a builder or even helping out a painting company or crew on an existing job.
