In this course, students will explore depictions of the human figure while also developing their own painting skills in acrylic or oil in a more intimate setting of only 6-7 students maximum! Exercises using life models are designed to effectively enhance the portrayal of the three-dimensional form through value, tone, colour theory and painting technique. Special attention will be given to learning correct body proportions, portraiture, and successfully rendering, layering, and mixing colours.
* students are expected to bring their own materials to each class.
* this is a beginner-intermediate level class.
