Painter in Syracuse, New York

Hello, My name is Derek, I recently moved up from the Catskills to complete my college degree; looking to join a professional and relaxed painting team for the summer. I started in the trade at 16 for my family's company, im 26 now. I'll be staying in Syracuse this summer as i am working on an entrepreneurship program, but need to work in the meantime to get by. I am familiar with all of the different sheen's of paint from matte, to semi-gloss, to eggshell as well as many of the supplementary products and their uses/applications which are part of the trade. Very skilled with a brush and can work quickly, neat and clean, with nice sharp cut lines. Additionally my skills include light repair and finish work such as drywall using Dap products, water damage with Bin, taping, masonry, with attention to detail by caulking any necessary gaps/spaces. I am always willing to learn more as well. Anticipating a degree in architecture and art in May; Through my studies I've learned to produce and read blueprints, interior design, along with color & concept. My past work has included 100 residential homes and major corporate spaces, with thank you letters sent after jobs. I am available to start today, can work 30 hours/week and am flexible.
